Established in December of 2021, LS Veterinary Services is your comprehensive destination for all your equestrian veterinary needs. Dr. Lena Swanson DVM, offers a holistic approach to ensure the well-being and peak performance of your equine companions. 

In addition to her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Lena has also completed schooling for animal chiropractic care, and is certified in animal acupuncture, both of these treatment modalities optimize your horse’s natural functions. Cold Laser therapy is also a service offered at LS Equine Veterinary Services to help mitigate inflammation and potentially reduce the reliance on NSAIDS for your horse’s comfort and health.

Lena Swanson, DVM

After accomplishing my dream of becoming a doctor of veterinary medicine in January of 2021, I  began an internship at Brock Veterinary Clinic in Lamesa, Texas, where we cared for over 12,000 horses in a single year. The skills, knowledge, and friendships forged during this time have played a pivotal role in my career and as an individual. Subsequently, I worked in Tulsa at Banfield Pet Hospital while completing certifications in animal chiropractic and acupuncture, further adding to my repertoire for equestrian healing. 

Today I am proud to own and operate a mobile equine general practice, providing holistic care to the equine community in Central Oklahoma and Texas.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy ranching and cattle raising, but my true me time is when I’m in the arena, roping with my horses.

Hi y’all!

I’m Dr. Lena Swanson, and it’s truly a privilege to connect with both other horse enthusiasts and their beautiful equine companions. As a lifelong horse lover, I consider it an honor to be entrusted with their well-being and care. 

I was born and raised in central Nebraska, a place where cows far outnumber people. This instilled in me at a young age, a deep appreciation for genuine relationships in our small-town community. This commitment to personal connections has been one of the cornerstones of my entrepreneurial journey. 

I earned my BA in Animal Science at Oklahoma State University, where I discovered my love for Stillwater. Following this, I pursued my Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Ross University in the West Indies.
